Ticket Selection is a secondary ticket platform. A surprising number of people buy tickets on Ticket Selection without an understanding of what a secondary ticket platform is and how ticket delivery will work.
This leads to excessive and unnecessary anxiety on the part of those who have purchased tickets and a raft of poor reviews from people complaining about ticket delivery when in fact, tickets are being delivered in complete accordance with the methods and timing outlined on our FAQ page.
For clarity, here is that section again:
4.1: How are tickets delivered?
The seller is contracted to send the tickets by fully insured registered mail, as etickets by email or by hand delivery at the venue.
4.2: When and how will I receive my tickets?
In most cases, tickets will be dispatched 7 to 10 days before the event by mail. All mailed tickets are sent Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK. This guarantees next day delivery and insures the tickets against loss or damage.
Mailed tickets will need to be signed for at your end. Responsibility for your tickets transfers to Royal Mail once we have sent them and we cannot be held responsible if Royal Mail lose your tickets or deliver them after the garanteed time. Please note someone will need to be in to sign for the tickets if they are sent by Royal Mail
Concert and event tickets are increasingly available as etickets these days and when they are you will receive your tickets by email.
The eticket email is sent to the same email to which your order confirmation is sent. Unless we receive notification from our mailing programme of delivery failure we consider the eticket received upon emailing.
It is important therefore that you use an email which you check regularly. You can whitelist our email addresses to prevent the email inadvertantly being sent to spam folder. (email1, email2)
At the venue:
Tickets may not be available till the day of the event. In this case, you will receive an email beforehand informing you that your tickets will be hand delivered to you at the venue.
In this case, your tickets are safe as only you can pick them up with your signature and order number.
Usually, unless you purchase last minute tickets, we will not be able to tell you how or when your ticket will be delivered. In some cases, we won’t know ourselves until nearer the day. That is the nature of secondary ticket sales.
As the event gets closer, we understand that you will get anxious, especially if you have not yet been informed about delivery. You are welcome to use the Support Button that you will find at the top of every page of the website in order to contact our Customer Services team
Ticket Selection Reviews
The following two reviews were posted recently about the same event. Clearly the first reviewer has not read the FAQ and in his anxiety is reviewing Ticket Selection prior to the date of the event. Given that Venue Delivery is a possibility highlighted in the FAQ, this is a bit premature.
The second review, from a different customer, was posted after the event. Both buyers received tickets for this same event on the same day. The difference between the unhappy customer here and the satisfied one, is in the expectation of ticket delivery timing.
The following review is for a different event, but it is a fair description of the delivery process.
Receiving emails from Ticket Selection
We acknowledge that in the past, our communications systems have let us down. We are constantly working on improving that. It has come to our attention for example, that some emails we send simply do not get through. This is particularly true if the email address you have given us if either hotmail or outlook and the problem is not specific to Ticket Selection.
In both cases, the email pops into an ‘Others’ type folder where, unless you are in the habit of checking that folder regular, you will not find it.
To be sure that you see all emails sent from Ticket Selection, including order confirmation and ticket dispatch updates, please whitelist email@example.com.
Order confirmations are sent automatically. If you have purchased tickets but have not yet received a confirmation, please check your Junk or Others folder and if there is nothing from us in either location, try an inbox search including the artist or event name.
In almost all cases, this will turn up your missing order confirmation.
Delivery Address Changes
Lastly, we are happy to assist with delivery address changes and can, if you wish, organize delivery to a hotel if you are travelling to the event. In either situation please open a Support Ticket.
Should your event be held within the next 72 hours and you do not yet have ticket dispatch information, then you should open a Support Ticket, include your order number and check the ’72 hours’ checkbox.
