As the son of a two weight world boxing champion and a multi-title champion in his own right there is no doubting Chris Eubank Jr.’s sporting pedigree. Shoetly affter the dramatic third round stoppage of Turkish fighter, Avni Yildirim, in Stuttgart in October, Eubank Jr issued the fallowing warning to upcoming opponent George Groves:
“I’m sending a message out there that I’m coming. George Groves, get through your next fight so we can give the boxing fans what they want to see. I think it’s going to be exactly the same as what we saw tonight. I’m not playing any more.”
Not that groves seemed to worried. He claims to consider Eubank Jr a performer more than a fighter:
“He (Eubank Jr.) was desperate to fight me because he knows it’s a big fight. Whether it’ll dawn later on that that pressure isn’t easy to carry; it’ll be great, fun, but not unique to me.
Fighting talk indeed. Boxing fans are ready for action on 17th Feb at Manchester Arena. Get your tickets while you can!
