Blue Planet II is going on tour with a live orchestra across the UK
Sir David Attenborough’s spellbinding nature docuseries Blue Planet II is set to be extended into a live tour.
The new show will consist of a live symphony orchestra, performing the official soundtrack by Bleeding Fingers Music, alongside some majestic original visuals from the BBC show.
Titled Blue Planet II: Live in Concert, the tour commences in March 2019 and will begin in Bournemouth, moving on to the likes of Cardiff, Newcastle, Dublin, Liverpool and Manchester, before completing its journey in Sheffield.
The concert itself will project imagery/scenes from the show onto a 4K Ultra HD state-of-the-art screen, measuring at 200 square metres.
Blue Planet II: Live in Concert will bring Attenborough’s legendary work to life, with the TV series itself covering hot topics such as plastic pollution in the oceans, and coral ecosystems, which are in grave danger due to global warming.
