Bolton comedian, Peter Kay, has been suspiciously quiet for the last eight years. It turns out he has been thinking a lot about the world shattering events that have been taking place in the meantime:
“A lot has happened in the last eight years, with Trump, Twitter and my Nan getting her front bush trimmed at the age of 96. I can’t wait to get back up on stage.”
The last time Kay went on tour was in 2010 and he played to over 1.2 million stand-up comedy fans. This, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, still makes it the biggest selling comedy tour of all time.
In the past, Peter Kay’s keen observational humour has including cracks at family members (including his Nan), family meals, texting, TV, dieting and other relatable or cringe-worthy material. We all recognise ourselves and our own families in his stories and maybe that is what makes him one of Britain’s best loved jokers.
