The British sense of humour is legendary and boy, do we love our stand up comics. It doesn’t matter if they are silly or sarcastic, cutting or clever, if a comedian can hold a mirror up to life in a way that makes us laugh at ourselves, he or she is a local hero.
No matter if the comic has travelled half way round the world to stand up in front of a British audience, make us laugh and you are one of the gang.
Observational comedians like Micky Flanagan and Michael Mcintyre have audiences roaring at their shaggy dog stories. (The only difference is that Micky does it like a lad in the pub while Michael’s schtick is a bit more bewildered posh bloke.)
