Robert Plant Tickets
Robert Plant’s 14th solo album, Carry Fire, is due for release on October 13th, 2017. The title of the first single from the album, May Queen, is a playful nod to an earlier Led Zepelin classic, Stairway to Heaven which contains the lyric:
If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow, don’t be alarmed now,
It’s just a spring clean for the may queen.
Even so, don’t expect May Queen or any other track from the new album to be old Zeppelin or Plant tracks rehashed. Robert Plant himself has acknowledged that while he relished and respects his older works, he feels “… the lure and incentive to create new work. I must mix old with new.”
As lead singer for Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stone described Plant vocalising as a “wild banshee wail”. In a round up of the greatest singers of all time (in which they placed him 15th) they also said:
Singing like a girl never seemed so masculine, and countless hard-rock singers would shred their vocal cords reaching for the notes Plant gained by birthright.
The Carry Fire tour will see Plant and his entourage touch down in 15 cities across the UK. Don’t miss seeing this rock legend live on stage in your city. Get tickets today.
