The Mancunian rockers are back this winter!
Ahead of their slot at Reading & Leeds Festival this coming weekend, Courteeners have announced a major new UK tour for November and December.
The indie rock trio’s new tour will include arena shows in Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow, Newcastle and Hull, culminating in a return to London’s O2 Brixton Academy, their fifth headline show at the venue during their career.
Support comes from Gerry Cinnamon (except for the Southampton show) and Zuzu (all dates).
Courteeners first formed in 2000 and have since released five studio albums, including 2008 debut St. Jude, 2014’s Concrete Love and 2016’s Mapping the Rendezvous. Current band members are Liam Fray, Daniel “Conan” Moores and Michael Campbell.
This year saw the band celebrate the 10th anniversary of their gold selling debut album; a reworked version of the album – St. Jude Re:Wired – hit the Top 5 of the Official UK Albums Chart and the band played celebratory sold-out shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust in March and Manchester Arena in April.
