Alien Ant Farm Tickets
American rock band, Alien Ant Farm might be best known for their cover of Michael Jackson’s ‘Smooth Criminal’ but they have produced five studio albums in total and sold over 5 million records.
Original band members Dryden Mitchell on vocals, Terry Corso on guitar, Mike Cosgrove on drums and Tye Zamora on bass recorded a demo tape entitled the $100 EP containing five songs in 1996. In 1998 they recorded a second demo tape Love Songs, featuring four songs.
The following year, the band released their debut album, titled Greatest Hits that featured a first version of “Smooth Criminal”. It went on to win Best Independent Album in the L.A. Music Awards that year.
In 2000, after forging a friendship with the band Papa Roach, Alien Ant Farm signed with DreamWorks SKG for their second studio album, ANThology. By 2001, ‘Smooth Criminal’ No. 1 single in Australia and New Zealand, No. 3 in the UK, and No. 1 on the US Modern Rock charts.
Up in the Attic, released in 2006 was their least successful record and led to the band unofficially splitting up in 2007. In 2008 they were back together and both Tye Zamora and Terry Corso had rejoined after going their own way for a while. There were several other band member changes but by 2010 the original line-up was back together for the first time since 2003.
In October 2011, Alien Ant Farm took part in the “Michael Forever Tribute Concert” in Cardiff, Wales. And in the summer of 2013, they participated in “The Big Night Out Tour”, opening for Hoobastank & Fuel.
Founding member and bassist Tye Zamora left Alien Ant Farm in March 2014 and was replaced by Tim Peugh. At the same time Michael Anaya joined as a touring member of the band, providing backing vocals, percussion, and keyboards. In 2018, Alien Ant Farm will be hitting the road in the UK with 11 dates across the country.
